Integrative Movement Approached for the Waldorf Classroom

March 22, 2017 - March 23, 2017

Integrative Movement Approached for the Waldorf Classroom —based on Extra Lesson

Workshop C : Open for Teachers ONLY with Ingun Schneider

This workshop is aimed at kindergarten and elementary school teachers interested in deepening their understanding of children’s sensory and motor development—as a foundation for their learning and social comfort—to include practical activities and exercises in support of this development.

The focus of this workshop will be the four foundational body senses

and their relationship to the four social senses as described by Rudolf

Steiner. The necessity and methods for building this bodily foundation in support of ease of learning, for furthering sensory and movement development and the process of embodying human self will be covered. Emphasis will be on the value of “reading” the functioning of these senses in our school children, pedagogically appropriate classroom interventions according to grade level and the practice of various activities/exercises for classroom groups. Please come ready to move.

Conditions :

Workshop C : Welcome Teachers from all streams. To avoid repetition and in order to introduce more movements for the classroom, we ask that teachers first attend workshop B.

Classes will cover both theory and practice, so please come prepared to move. If you have eurythmy shoes or similar comfy sport shoewear, please bring them.
